It took moving for us to really take advantage of the location of our house! Funny how that works. Granted, part of it was River's age & Freelands schedule. But we did at least take advantage before we moved.. right?
We lived down the street from an awesome gyro place, the nature center, and the beach. (and a park and lots of other places.) Seriously.. within walking distance. So on one of Freelands days off during his ER month we went on down and played with the kids.
The nature center was fun. A great place to play with new toys and wasnt over crowded at all. Honestly, I wasnt heart broken that we didnt take more advantage of the nature center. However, I can tell it would be a great place for people who get an itch to get out in the winter. And if River was even older it probably would have been even more fun.
The gyro place, The Peninsula Gateway, was yummy and worth it. Nothing mind blowing but I cant believe we didnt stop there more on our way to the beach.. or just walk over for dinner! Shame on us!
walking away and telling me bye .. (My life flashed before my eyes in this second)
after all that food all he wanted to eat was ice
Those are great family memories that Im thankful for in our last few days before we moved.
The thing I miss the most so far in these short few weeks (besides people) is WEGMANS. This could be an entire blog post itself. (and we even have whole foods & trader joes here) But every time I go to the store I wish I was shopping at wegmans. The end.
