and running waaaaaaay too many errands

*if those pictures seemed chaotic and out of order thats because that is what it felt like the entire time we were unpacking.

It was a busy two weeks. We tried to get as much organized and settled as we could. And thankfully we had TONS of help. Almost all of our parents were here at some point over the entire break.

We are definitely feeling settled & a lot more comfortable. Im slowly getting down a routine figuring out which grocery stores to go to for what. My friend Lauren also told me about a bible study that gets together weekly so Ive been going to that and Im really enjoying it! River is definitely comfortable when we're home and within 2 days was calling this home. When we first moved and went out I all the sudden saw this shy side of him that Ive never seen before. He had a hard time the first few weeks we took him to church and to the bible study. He would just cling to our legs and his eyes would fill up with tears. He was always fine once we left. It was just dropping him off that was heart breaking. Thankfully after a month of going consistenly he is finally breaking out of his shell and realizing everything is fine! He's still a little shy at first in new situations but he's adapting and Im proud of him.

The boys love running around the yard and love the parks we have around us. All our neighbors have been so welcoming and told us so many times how thankful they are to have little kids running around the yard again (good thing as we're only adding more!) There are so many things we both love about our house. (like a finished basement, the laundry chute, a more spacious kitchen, and having more than 1 bathroom!) We still have a TON of projects we want to do around the house. I have a lot I want to get organized. Freeland has a lot he wants to rip out and change! We're taking our time. But I will post pictures along the way!

  1. I can already tell your dining room is going to be gorgeous! And I can't wait to see what you do with the rest and am so glad you're going to repost. :-) I would really love to plan a visit sometime before it gets cold. I will call you next time I'm planning a trip home so I can swing by on my way if you're up to it. Erie is not the same without you !
