Celebrating the Lynne Family

2 weeks ago all of us got together (all of us being all of our Girls Group here) and hosted a surprise party for our sweet friends, Sarah & Drew. As you may have seen on their blog, their family is growing! So before everyone graduates at the end of May we wanted to make sure we all got together to celebrate as a family here.

Get ready for picture overload because I couldnt narrow it down.

Sarah's sister, Aubrey, was actually in town from Japan during the party! She came up with the idea to just make the party about them and have all their favorite things, drinks, food, and desserts. We made burgers & then did a "build your own chili dog" station. And everyone chipped in and brought lots of amazing food to share!

The sun thankfully came out that day so it worked to have everything in the backyard. Even though the wind was blowing like crazy, which made it a little cold, we still took advantage of the sun and stayed out.

Here are some pictures before everything was put out:

then people started arriving and we got all the food & drinks out:

and the dessert table. Oh.My.Ga. lots of yummy food. (all their favorites!)

you should know Sarah & Drew love Dunkin Donuts so we made them a "donut cake" instead of a traditional cake.

we made a Friends Family Tree with everyone's thumbprints as the guest book. Christie painted the tree & it turned out adorable:

and then Sarah & Drew arrived! (originally thinking we were just hanging out in the backyard.. no idea that everyone was there to celebrate them!)

SOOO FUN surprising them! We all thought Sarah had figured it out before hand but it turned out that she had no idea! What a blast! I teared up watching the entire thing unfold! So much excitement!

I just love all the families hanging out, kids playing in the yard, toys everywhere, all enjoying each other! What a blessing.

and then to finish out the night we made a bonfire & ate even more food:

Phew! I told you lots of pictures. But thats how I roll.

We all loved getting to celebrate the Lynnes! Im so thankful we all pulled it off too while everyone is here. Its been such a blessing to see Sarah & Drew's go through this season of life & walk along side them during it all. I love watching their hearts grow & grow for their child. And we're all looking forward to loving on their new addition!
