mandatory stop at cracker barrel while traveling

While traveling and/or meeting anyone in my family, cracker barrel is an obvious choice. its just where we normally always end up going if we are with extended family. (that or Olive Garden ;)

So when we were talking to my Aunt & Grandma of course we settled on going to cracker barrel. They were so nice to drive more than half way to meet us. And Tracy was so generous to take off work and go with us.

You may remember that my Grandfather passed away right after River was born. So it was a bittersweet with him not being there. River would have loved him.. and the same he would have loved River. But Im so thankful that River was able to get time with the rest of my dad's family while we were home. It really meant a lot to us.

Here are some pictures:

Liz.. aka the baby whisperer! She worked her magic on River to get him through the "i need a nap" fussiness! So thankful!

Im so thankful we all got to see them. It isnt always easy getting together since we dont always have a car or arent home for long but Im glad we made it work. I havent seen my aunt or grandma since we moved from Waco so it was especially nice.
