the difference a week makes

Just last week our house was covered with orange and yellow leaves.. everywhere.. like you saw in our backyard. That was just last week! This week its covered in white.

And there pretty much isnt one single leaf left (at least on the trees by our house)

Its incredible how much can change in just one week.

My Nana always says that.

The week before our wedding when things were non-stop and the wedding was just days away she would say "just imagine, this time next week.. you & Freeland will be married and starting your life together."

Then when we were moving up here and were super busy rushing to pack our house, say bye to family, celebrate birthdays, go to weddings, finish up all our last few things, and drive 22+ hours.. she just kept saying "just imagine, this time next week everything will all be over and you will be at your new home and living in Erie."

She is one smart woman. Things can change so much in such little time.

Sometimes I dont want them to change that quickly though. Right now, I wish we could just slow this time of year down. Just put it on pause. Or hit the play button - like you can on your DVR.. where its still playing - but just going really slow.

I will work on that. If I figure out a way to slow it down - I will let you know.

Oh and it looks like the snow is here to stay too. Thats what our neighbors say. I thought maybe it might tease us and warm up a little bit again... but so far it looks like it wont be.
