On Saturday we took my mom out to North East. Our first stop was at Burch Farms. We didnt really know what to expect we just searched online to see if there were any farms or fall festivals we could stop by while we were out there.
The little "country market" they have on the side of the road is adorable.
As we pulled up - I was instantly very excited. It looked perfect. It was still pretty early so it wasnt too crowded yet! Even more perfect! Then we walked in and they even had a wine tasting! Again.. perfect! We browsed the market for awhile and talked to some of the people that worked there. Then decided we would venture out to the corn maze.
They did make sure we were aware that its really just a kiddie maze.. I laughed for a second because I was aware of this.. and I was also aware that Im 25 years old and making my mom do it with us. We explained that we were from
Its pretty fun because a tractor takes you on a sort of Hay Ride out to the maze behind the market. There were kids celebrating a birthday riding with us that were so excited to get out there. It was adorable.
my hottie husband enjoying the ride out there
the pumpkin.. where we started.
We actually did get a little confused on some parts of the "kiddie" maze. So we kept having to turn back and make sure we were walking away from the pumpkin and not towards it again!
Once you go through the part that spells "burch farms" then you enter another maze where you have to answer all the clues right to find your way out. Thankfully the 3 of us together were able to figure all of them out. There were a few we guessed wrong and ended up at a dead end.
The prize was a bundle of fresh picked apples. One of the dads did ask us if we came out there just for that. Which made me giggle.
At the end of the maze all the kids play around while they wait for the tractor/hay ride to come back and get us. Its pretty stinkin cute seeing how much fun they have. The farm had little places for them to run around & play, climb, dig, and get all the rest of their energy out.
Im so glad we did the maze and stopped by burch farms! It was so fun. Mostly thanks to Freeland who ran around like a little kid searching for our way out and playing the entire time. And we can now say we have been through a corn field before.
